Mega-Lube Food Grade Grease DESCRIPTION: MEGA LUBE FOOD GREASE is smooth, buttery- textured grease and is odourless with bland taste and excellent pump ability. The colour may vary from white to apricot. All materials used in the manufacture of this grease are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the grease complies As a USDA Class Hi lubricant and also with U.S. code of Federal Regulations (CFR) C178.3570. APPLICATIONS: Recommended for use for the lubrication of all kinds of equipment in food and beverage processing plants. It meets the requirements where incidental contact with the food or beverage may occur. Mega Lube Food Grease is also recommended for grease packed bearings of all kinds e.g. electric motor bearings, pump shaft bearings and conveyor belt bearings. It is also recommended for applications where there is severe water washing, contamination with fruit juice or beverage, or where frequent steam cleaning is required. During lay—up of equipment and machine parts which are subsequently exposed to edible products it may be used as an anti—rust compound. In such cases the grease must be removed from the surface by wiping, as required, to leave the surface effectively free of any substance which could be transferred to food being processed. Mega Lube Food Grease can also be used as a release agent on gaskets or seals of tank enclosures. In this instance a minimum amount should be used to accomplish the desired effect required.
